Making the ordinary extraordinary.

Science museum NEMO in Amsterdam enables a broad audience to experience hands-on how fascinating science and technology can be. Fabrique developed a new website for the museum in 2013. A site with a central focus on discovery.

Question

Develop a website which supports the objective of NEMO to be the Dutch Museum of science.

Solution

Enlarge your world with NEMO; the website helps you to go on a voyage of discovery around the world of science and technology. Alongside the usual visitor information, themes such as sound, electricity and construction are presented in an informative and inspiring manner.

Can you see what you hear? How does electricity move? How do you build the strongest structures? Visitors obtain answers to these questions by means of film clips, assignments and factoids. From building a tepee with Saturday's newspaper to eating brussels sprouts while holding your nose - the challenging content now allows visitors at home and en route to discover how exceptional everyday things are.

Result

An inspiring tablet-first website on which you not only discover the museum, but also the world around you. E-nemo.nl makes a visit to Nemo more fun – including before and after.
